Life happens in a flash and when shooting a verité documentary you either catch it or you don't. This workshop serves as a crash course to greatly improve your verité shooting. We will begin by looking at some exceptional verité scenes from existing films to uncover the effective techniques these cinematographers used to tell their stories.

Afterward our experienced instructor will lead a hands-on workshop teaching the key skills to greatly improving your verité shooting skills. As a group we will work on framing, moving the camera, quickly reading a scene and many other techniques.

While we believe becoming a master verité shooter takes much time (and lots of practice) this workshop will help you feel more comfortable behind your camera. When that key moment happens and the record light is blinking, you'll know just what to do.
